Carter Beckworth is an associate at the firm. His practice focuses on water law, real estate, business, estate planning, and litigation.
Since 2020, Carter has assisted clients throughout New Mexico with a variety of business matters, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and related water rights and title issues. Carter is also experienced in forming and advising condominium and homeowners associations, including amending governing documents and negotiating resolutions of disputes between owners. In his estate planning practice, Carter has participated in mediations and litigations involving complex trust disputes and contested probate cases. Carter’s clients have praised his focus on prompt and effective communication, as well as his knowledgeable approach to finding creative solutions.
A recording artist and former touring musician, Carter also has a hands-on background in entertainment law, having negotiated recording contracts, live performance contracts, co-publishing and licensing agreements. His interests include copyright and trademark law, creative writing, hiking, and skiing. He resides in Santa Fe with his wife, Jillian, their daughter and two Labrador retrievers, Penny and Gila.
